Foundations and Therapeutic Contemporary Mat Pilates -all levels

Classical mat Pilates repertoire with contemporary addendums. With an emphasis on kinesthetic alignment and movement, these tools can help with everyday use of the body and pain management as well as further informing your foundation of Pilates. This class teaches range of motion of the joints and how to call upon specific muscle groups to move with intention while gaining an inner awareness of movement. The class is fundamental for all levels of skill and it is encouraged to revisit foundations regularly during your Pilates journey. Slow moving and ultra focused Foundations can be challenging or therapeutic, depending on what each student is looking for.

Intermediate Contemporary Mat Pilates

This class builds on fundamental mat skills and moves into advanced sequences, noticing how each movement informs the next. Challenge the stability, mobility and strength of your kinesthetic chain while achieving control and focus. Taking the Foundations Class is highly recommended prior to taking the Intermediate Class.

A spring-based resistance machine, a reformer consists of a box-like frame, sliding platform, springs, straps/ropes, and pulleys that help support the spine and target different muscle groups. A variety of exercises are done on the Pilates reformer to promote length, strength, flexibility, and balance.

This versatile core strengthening system can be used in a multitude of exercises from beginner to advanced. Jess is a highly skilled, expert instructor who will work with you one on one to achieve your core fitness goals.
